the invitation

The simpler, the better. It only stated our names, the location, time, date, RSVP numbers and the number of reserved seats. At the back we included a short "poem". It says...

With all that we have, we are truly blessed
So there is no need for a shopping fest
But if you desire to give nonetheless,
A monetary gift is what we suggest.

Some might say it's practical, others think is tacky, but one thing I learned from "researching" for our wedding, tacky is in the eye of the beholder. One thing i'm sure of is that I will not allow our wedding to be a cookie-cutter straight from the wedding factory wedding.

No flowers? NO FLOWERS!!!

I've never been a fan of fresh flowers, I just don't see the logic of picking the flowers for them to just wither and die for decorations' sake so it got me thinking what my bouquet would be. With the help of the world wide web, i was able to see some alternatives for the flower bouquet.

I fell in love with these...

so I made my own ...

Black+Gold

Weddings are supposed to be happy, romantic and fun thus the bright colors for motifs. But being the unconventional Ram and Clods, we opted to have black and gold(mainly black) as our motif. Eyebrows were raised. Mom tried to talk me out of it (without success) and future mom-in-law just smiled. After much debate and show of conviction(from the bride and groom), we have already convinced them...yehey! Now comes the hard part, looking for an affordable caterer that does black table setup. Good thing we were able to convice Cherry Geronimo of Wowlu Catering to ditch the white linens for a black one...yehey part 2!
